I wrote ‘Platform No. 12 (Old Friends)’ just after I got laid off, while supporting my family and feeling the weight of that circumstance settling in. The song reflects on the pressure so many folks face when work dries up and the grind of life feels crushing.. its about holding onto to love and friendship and those connections to carry us through.
